1 Introduction

1.1  Scope

The Observer application is a container including the following tools for tracing and investigation of distributed systems:

• Observer
• Trace Tool Builder
• Erlang Top
• Crashdump Viewer

1.2  Prerequisites

It is assumed that the reader is familiar with the Erlang programming language.
